About me
My name is Vic Pletsch, and I am a clinical psychologist. I support individuals who are going through challenging phases in their lives, offering an empathetic and resource-focused approach. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Vienna in 2020 and my Master’s degree in 2023. In 2025, I completed my postgraduate training in clinical psychology. Through my professional work, mainly in inpatient settings, I have gained extensive experience supporting people during difficult and stressful periods of life.
A particular focus of my work is the field of addiction. I have worked with both substance-related addictions (such as alcohol or medication) and behavioural addictions, including gambling or problematic internet use. During several years in this field, I gained broad experience in supporting individuals affected by addiction. My work often involves teaching practical skills that help people cope more effectively with difficult emotions and challenging situations in everyday life. Supporting partners and family members is also an important part of my work, as addiction often affects the wider social environment.
Clinical psychology aims to support people experiencing psychological distress, crises, or inner conflicts. The goal is to better understand one’s experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop helpful strategies for everyday life. An important principle of my work is empowering people to strengthen their own resources and develop sustainable ways of dealing with difficulties. I strive to create a safe and respectful space in which you feel understood and taken seriously. Together, we work on opening up new perspectives and building on your individual strengths.
